PALPA, June 22 | Two dead bodies were recovered from the Sammobari area of Tansen Municipality-11 on Monday evening after four vehicles were hit by rain-triggered landslides on the Palpa-Gulmi road. Chief District Officer of Palpa, Ramesh Neupane said that a person who sustained injuries in the incident was rescued immediately and sent to hospital for treatment. KATHMANDU, June 22 | The Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) on Monday reported the recovery of 370 patients of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Nepal. KATHMANDU, June 21 | The price of gold reached a historic high of Rs 90,600 per tola (11.664 grams) on Sunday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of the precious yellow metal increased by Rs 700 per tola in two days as its price on Friday stood at Rs 89,900. After remaining shut for almost two and a half months, the bullion market opened with an increased value of Rs 10,400 per tola. Prior to this, gold was being traded for Rs 77,000 per tola in March. Sindhupalchowk, June 19 | The number of coronavirus cases in Sindhupalchowk district has spiked to 24 with 18 fresh cases reported on Thursday. Of the 18 new cases reported today, nine are among the 23 females who returned from Kuwait on June 11. According to spokesperson at the MoHP Dr Jageshwor Gautam, the deceased is a 57- year-old man from Malarani Rural Municipality in Arghakhanchi district. Kathmandu, Jun 11 | The government has decided not to administer the Class 10 Secondary Education Examination (SEE) suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday night decided that the National Examination Board will issue the SEE certificate based on the internal evaluation of Class 10 students carried out by the schools.
