According to Dr Bikash Devkota, spokesperson for th MoHP, the throat swab sample of a 55-year-old female from Dhangadi-4 who died on Friday tested positive for COVID-19 today. A Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Baluwatar took the decision to continue the lockdown. KATHMANDU, May 16|Nepal reported the first ever death due to novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country on Saturday. Issuing a press statement in the evening, the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that a 29-year-old woman from Sindhupalchowk district had died of this deadly virus on Thursday.
