KAPILVASTU, May 11 | The District Administration Office (DAO), Kapilvastu, has sealed off the district for a week from Monday (May 11) 5 pm to Sunday (May 17) midnight owing to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the district. KATHMANDU, May 6 | Total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nepal have reached 99 as 17 more patients have been diagnosed with this deadly disease on Wednesday. During a regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health and Population, the spokesperson Dr Bikash Devkota, informed that the swab samples of all the patients from Parsa district tested positive for this disease at Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory. KATHMANDU, May 3 | Another six people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Nepalgunj on Sunday evening, the Ministry of Health and Population said. With the additional six cases, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has jumped to 75. With this, the number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 has reached 15 in Nepalgunj alone. KATHMANDU, April 29 | The number of Nepali migrant workers infected by coronavirus in Bahrain has climbed to 126 as of Wednesday, the Nepal Embassy in Manama said. The embassy had reported last week that 49 Nepali workers were infected by the virus. In a press release, the embassy said today that additional 77 Nepali migrant workers have been infected. KATHMANDU, April 27 | The District Court, Kathmandu, has ordered the police to release former government secretary Bhim Upadhyay on Rs 25,000 bail. A single bench of Judge Bharatmani Khanal ordered the police to release Upadhayay on bail. The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police had arrested Upadhyay from his Kusunti-based residence on the charge of cybercrime on Wednesday.
